Tullow Community School is pleased to be able to offer young people in the school who may have experienced a death, separation or other painful life change in their family, the opportunity to participate in the Rainbows/ Spectrum/ Prism programme. This is an established and successful programme which is run throughout the country.
Tullow Community School will be beginning the programme early November (date to be confirmed). The RAINBOWS programme is run in small groups (max 7 per group), with a trained facilitator. It is a self-help group, and provides a safe setting in which young people of the same age can talk through their feelings with other young people who have been through similar situations.
Using various fun activities, the programme helps young people to come to a healthy understanding and acceptance of these changes.
