State Examinations
Junior Certificate & Leaving Certificate Examinations begin on 9th June.
St. Anne's Graduation: Thursday 20th May beginning with Mass at 11.30 a.m. and Presentations will be held in The Ramada Hotel, Killerig after Mass.
Leaving Certificate Graduation: Friday 28th May at 8.00 p.m
Reminder: Acceptance forms for places in First Year 2010-2011 to be returned by Friday 12th March.
Book Sale
Second hand book intake will take place on

Congratulations to Hannah Driver(Class 3.2) who has won a Bank of Ireland National Award in the "Spirit of Community " category. This is a great achievement and is richly deserved. Hannah will be presented with her award at a ceremony in Naas on the 7th May.

Aideen Fleming (Leaving Cert.student) recipient of the Lions Club Regional Award. Aideen was presented with a laptop computer and a piece of Tipperary crystal by Carlow Lions Club President, James Nolan and Youth Officer, Padraig Kelly. Congratulations to Aideen on achieving this award. |

A huge thank you to local Rugby International, Sean O'Brien who visited the school today with the Heineken Cup. Sean met with students and staff and the school`s rugby teams. He was very generous with his time and gave lots of encouragement to the students to achieve their goals. We wish Sean continued success in his career and are very proud of our former students achievements. Thank you to Mr. William Kelly and Mr. Vinnie Mahon for co-ordinating the visit.

Congratulations to the U-14 soccer team who have reached the South Leinster Final, to complete a remarkable soccer season for the school. School teams have reached all three finals ( U-14,U-16,U-19). With the "double" already achieved we are hopeful that the U-14`s can make it a treble. We wish the squad and Mr. O Reilly all the best for the final against CBS Carlow on Thursday 25th March.

All Ireland Inter-Schools Hunter Trials 2010- Tullow Community School had two students entered in the senior category and four students entered in the junior category in the competition held in Bagnelstown, Co. Carlow on Saturday March 13th. To the delight of the entire school Paddy Fitzharris, a 5th year student broke all records as he scooped 1st place in record time. Paddy won the senior individual competition and took home the James Spencer Cup for the second year in a row. A further success was achieved in the junior category when Emma Redmond came third. Congratulations to all our compeditors- Paddy Fitzharris and Niall Redmond in the senior category, and Emma Redmond, Kieran Cooper, Hayley O Shea and Laura Sheehan in the Junior category.

Bank of Ireland Awards- TCS was the proud recipient of three Bank of Ireland Regional Awards this past week. Hannah Driver won the Spirit of Community award in the junior category. Eoin Byrne won the Entrepreneurial Senior Category and Paul Murphy, Richard Thompson, Ian Kavanagh and John O Brien won the Group Award. All these are now entered in the All Ireland Competition so we we wish them every success. Well done to all. |
